THE DESIGN SERIES: Illustration Embroidery – Happy Cacti Edition with Hooray Hoop
Back by popular demand! Geelong based artist, Hooray Hoop (Jo Cashmore, much loved on Instagram @hoorayhoop) leads a fascinating workshop into the intricate world of embroidery, and guide participants into embroidering their own happy cacti.
This masterclass is part of The Design Series – a series of exclusive National Wool Museum masterclasses exploring creativity with fibre, showcasing creative people and paying tribute to Geelong’s recent designation as a UNESCO City of Design. With the THE DESIGN SERIES, it means that We can go crazy deeply in drawing/ illustrating. You can bring your own favorited cacti or use my template. We will play with watercolour and finish off with different stitching techniques.
All materials provided. Each participant will go home with their own completed artwork, as well as the materials (hoop, threads and needle) to continue at home!
